.......
thanks for your comment. i think it is very inportant that you brought up this topic. well, india is totally different from bangladesh in some aspects. our country is developing fast and the value and respect for women has increased since our independance in '71. we also don't have the "early-marriage" custom and dowry these days... which is a huge success i'd say! i guess the main reason for this is our religion, islam. india has many cultures within so the idea and tradition changes from place to place!
about indians coming to bangladesh to marry, i do not know. but i'm sure i would've heard about it if it was true!
one thing though, i'm happy that we are doing lot of things to support and encourage women in Bangladesh. girls study for free since last 10 years!!
women and men are equal in Bangladesh, and you can see that if you are out on the streets!!
To be serious (and not offending, I hope): do you have the same "view" about women, in Bangladesh, than in India? (which is that women overthere are only meant to be married because if not they're just a pain for their families, which makes men the only valuable parts of the society)?
I ask because I just heard today on French TV that in some parts of India, because of the "abortion-if-it's-a-girl" thing that Indian women do, men now can find women to get married and they have to go in Bangladesh to find some!!! :/
They would need about 40 billions women in India alone to fulfill the needs!!! This is terrible, I think!!!
Is that true? Do you know?
who knows? pizza hat's are all over these days i see... it's just a matter of time!
